Soon we will provide a more detailed schedule on privacysandbox.com, where it will be updated regularly to provide greater clarity and ensure that developers and publishers can plan their testing and migration schedules.

Included below is an overview of the updated timeline for the PCI DSS v4.0 development effort, including the additional RFC for validation documents, the preview period for PCI SSC stakeholders, and the planned public release of the PCI DSS v4.0 standard, validation documents, and other supporting materials.

This transition period allows organizations time to become familiar with the changes in v4.0, update their reporting templates and forms, and plan for and implement changes to meet updated requirements. Upon completion of the transition period, PCI DSS v3.2.1 will be retired and v4.0 will become the only active version of the standard.

So, while testing more often or with more tests may seem like a good idea, it can actually lead to more harms. ACS carefully evaluated the potential benefits and harms of each screening test for each age group to come up with their updated recommendations.

ASCCP (formerly known as The American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology) recently published updated guidelines for the care of patients with abnormal cervical screening test results. This was a large consensus effort involving several clinical organizations, federal agencies, and patient representatives. Several NCI scientists, including myself, performed extensive risk assessment and systematic literature reviews to support the development of the guidelines.

Recently, we updated the AWS Security Incident Response Guide to more clearly explain what you should do before, during, and after a security event. In this post, we will highlight some of the changes and discuss how to use the new guide.

The updated terms for Docker Desktop reflect our need to scale our business sustainably and enable us to continue shipping new value in all Docker subscriptions. These new terms take effect August 31, 2021, and there is a grace period until January 31, 2022 for those who require a paid subscription to use Docker Desktop. (Note that licensing for Docker Engine and the upstream Docker and Moby open source projects is not changing.)

During the winter schedule the blog is updated once every week. Snow accumulation forecasts replace precipitation forecasts. Also, there is renewed emphasis on ice and snow boundary conditions and their influence on hemispheric weather. With the start of spring we transition to a spring/summer schedule, which is once every two weeks. Snow accumulation forecasts will be replaced by precipitation forecasts. Also, there will be less emphasis on ice and snow boundary conditions and their influence on hemispheric weather.

Though no mea culpas from me to kick off the blog, I did say something that has come back to haunt me. I wrote last week that I would argue that there was a turn to more severe winter weather following those minor sudden stratospheric warmings (SSWs) with the possible exception of 2016. I do think the impacts from those other minor SSWs were of longer duration and more widespread, but in February 2016 there was a very brief but intense Arctic outbreak into the Northeastern US (see Weather Channel article). And sure enough, another comparable outbreak is predicted, though how cold it will actually acheive is still an open question, as I do believe that extreme cold is difficult to predict. At least here in Boston there was snow on the ground to greet the cold in 2016 and this time it is looking like bare ground, so that will likely help to prevent more extreme temperatures.

Paper. Although the IRS has committed to clearing the paper backlog by the end of the year, there is little time left on the clock. A swift reduction in paper provides the only hope for accomplishing that lofty goal. Scanning technology would help drastically and would provide cause for optimism. To press the IRS to accelerate the development and implementation of scanning technology, I issued a Taxpayer Advocate Directive (TAD) to the IRS Deputy Commissioners in March, and I appealed their response to the Commissioner in July. I have posted my TAD, my appeal, and the two responses on my March 30, 2022 blog and my August 4, 2022 blog.

The views expressed in this blog are solely those of the National Taxpayer Advocate. The National Taxpayer Advocate presents an independent taxpayer perspective that does not necessarily reflect the position of the IRS, the Treasury Department, or the Office of Management and Budget.

As Panos mentioned in his blog post yesterday, we will be releasing an update to the Photos app in Windows 11 that introduces a new photos-managing experience. We are beginning to roll a preview of this update for the Photos app to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel today. This means not all Insiders in the Dev Channel will have the update right away, but we plan to increase the rollout over time as we monitor feedback.

Thank you for this post. I am just being introduced to blogging in a course I am taking. We are using WordPress to create blogs. Honestly, I find the whole process a little intimidating. I appreciate you taking the time to walk beginning through the step to create a blog.

That can be done and the simplest way to implement it would be to use categories for your content and instead of a posts page, use the category pages for the individual blogs. The category pages work like the posts page but would only list the posts in that specific category.

All themes act differently, so you may find that the published date still remains alongside the last updated date; other themes completely remove the published date to make way for the last updated date.

After publishing the CSS code, these styling changes get reflected on all frontend instances of the last updated dates. For instance, we changed the background color, font color, font family, font size, and also transformed everything to uppercase lettering. 2ff7e9595c
