Usually, the method of preparing the foam is as follows. First, foam generation is conducted, and then cooling to the room temperature is conducted for controlling the rise time. The rise time is controlled by the conductive heat and/or the force applied on the foaming agent. As the conductive heat cannot be obtained during the foaming process, the amount of the heat should be controlled by the force applied on the foaming agent. In other words, the force is applied on the foaming agent until the foaming process is completed. After that, the cooling is conducted to control the rise time. The thermal expansion method of the foaming process is conducted after cooling to the room temperature and, it should be noted that the heat in the process of thermal expansion is applied by the internal heat of the forming machine. The temperature of the forming machine is controlled to the temperature in the thermal expansion process.
The amount of heat applied on the foaming agent is measured by a temperature gauge which is placed on the foaming machine. This process requires the temperature of the foaming machine to be high enough to elevate the temperature of the foaming agent and to be calibrated to detect the accuracy of the temperature. Because the temperature of the foaming machine should be higher than the temperature in the thermal expansion process, the rise time is extended as the foaming machine is made of high temperature material.
